Whatsapp introduces UPI payment feature in india. It has been allowed small value of transaction by National payment corporation of india(NPCI).This feature is available to selected beta user in both android and iOS. For join beta program refer here.
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) restricted the testing of WhatsApp Payments beta version to a sample of 1 Million users or 1% of WhatsApp’s total user base, whichever is lower.
Whatsapps uses the unified payment interface through which you can send and receive the money through your upi linked bank accounts.

Go to whatsapp setting and click payment option
Select the add new account options
Read terms and condition, accept and continue the process
You have to ensure the verify option via sms to upi link process
Select the bank account which you would like to integrate with whatsapp number
